Palace Station Hotel
& Casino Dear Members and Friends of Las Vegas Koi Club, First, let me thank all who entered, attended and assisted with our first show last October. The success of this inaugural event was made possible by our enthusiastic members and the unselfish assistance of countless club members from around the country who shared in their knowledge and time. Now with one under our belt and still feeling the glow of success we are looking forward to continued success as we welcome even more of our koi kichi friends. The Palace Station Hotel & Casino will once again be our venue but instead of being limited to the indoor convention area as we were last year, we are moving to the unlimited space of the parking garage. October's weather is generally very mild with temperatures in the mid 70's. This area is protected from the elements with easy access for loading and unloading, water and power. This change allows us to add more tanks for the show with new categories plus additional vendor space. All events, including the Saturday Awards banquet, will be held at the hotel. Please join us to see the beautiful animals we have come to cherish. While you can experience all that Fabulous Las Vegas has to offer by night, you can explore and get to know those who work so hard developing the products, services and education that serve the hobby. Be sure to attend the Vendor Reception on Friday evening. We are excited have as our outstanding judges Steve Childers from Tennessee as Head Judge and Ray Jordon from San Antonio, Texas as Assistant Judge. They will be joined by Henry Culpepper from Orlando, Florida as Candidate Judge. Our fish "handlers" will be Bryan and Robbie McCleney and Tom Ayers all from Arizona. Water quality will be handled by Dr. Jason Sulliban, DVM from Las Vegas. Join in the Las Vegas Style Awards Banquet on Saturday beginning with cocktails and entertainment at 6 pm and dinner at 7:00 pm. On Sunday, the Judges will walk the tanks giving a Guided Commentary of the winning koi. Welcome to the Entertainment Capitol of the World and enjoy the show! Janon Wallace, Show
